Ivy

Ivy I first met Ivy with Kim Tien when I returned in 2004. Since Kim Tien did not speak English at the time, and Ivy did, she acted as our interpreter. She is a childhood friend of Kim Tien's from Phuoc Vinh and now lives in Saigon and works at one of the five-star hotels. She has become a good friend of mine and is one of the special people that make Vietnam so much fun for me.	Ivy feeding one of the local residents on Monkey Island. Ivy can't swim, so I wonder what was going through her mind as she was being harnessed up to parasail around the islands just outside of Nha Trang.	Ivy is also known as the Elephant Lady of Saigon and is frequently seen riding elephants around the city.
