Ha Long Bay is a 165 KM from Ha Noi. We took a one-day tour from Singh Cafe. Since it was January, and not the best time of year to visit, I think the one day tour was fine. Maybe 2 days would be fun in the summer because it is better beach weather, less hazy and the water is more clear. The bay is very picturesque, dotted with limestone formations small and large. There are many boats to take you on tours of the islands and their caves. It is definitely one of the prettiest places in Viet Nam. One of my "must sees." |

![]() The boat captains have a unique system of cooperation so they can tie so many boats to the dock at one time. You actually have to walk from boat to boat to get to yours. |
